In March 2020, David co-founded the Events Industry Council APEX COVID Business Recovery Task Force to address the immediate need for guidance on accepted practices, to restart the industry, and to examine long-term how we can adapt and transform for future stability, relevance, and resiliency of the events industry. In 2020, David co-founded the Events Industry Council APEX COVID Business Recovery Task Force and also currently serves on the MPI (Meeting Professionals International) Foundation Global Board of Trustees.
David has served as International Chairman of MPI and on the White House Council of Travel and Tourism. He’s been awarded MPI’s International Planner of the Year and was named Top 25 Influencer of the Meetings Industry by Northstar Meetings Group in 2020.
David’s in-depth knowledge of SPJA, its event, and stakeholder communities was developed during a one-year research consultancy with the organization.
